Introduction:

As the temperatures soared in Mumbai, beckoning the onset of scorching summer days, ten of us, sought refuge from the heat in the serene climes of Mount Abu and escaped to Mount Abu. Our trip was not during the peak season, but we were eager to escape the sweltering heat and bask in the cooler weather of Abu, embarking on a memorable journey filled with adventure and relaxation.

Journey to the Hilltop:

We embarked on our escapade by boarding the Aravali Express (14702) from Borivali to Abu Road, a twelve-hour train ride filled with anticipation and excitement. Upon reaching Abu Road, we hopped into local taxis that ferried us to the summit of Mount Abu. After checking into our hotel and enjoying a hearty lunch, we wasted no time in commencing our exploration of this enchanting hill station.

Day 1: Lakeside Serenity and Market Strolls

Our first day began with a

leisurely scooter ride around Nakki Lake, marveling at the picturesque views along the ring road that encircles the lake. We made our way to Honeymoon Point, soaking in the panoramic vistas of the Abu cityscape. Local snacks tantalized our taste buds as we savored the flavors of Kathiyawadi cuisine for a late lunch. After a brief respite from the afternoon heat at our hotel, we meandered through the bustling Nakki Lake market, immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 2: Ascending to Spiritual Heights

The highlight of our second day was the ascent to Guru Shikhar, a journey filled with breathtaking scenery and invigorating winds. We marveled at the Guru Dev temple atop the hill, reveling in the tranquility of the surroundings. En route to the summit, we paused to admire the awe-inspiring Dilwara temple, a testament to ancient craftsmanship. Boating on Nakki Lake and witnessing the sunset provided the perfect conclusion to our day of exploration.

Day 3: Shopping, Spiritualism, and Farewells

Our final day commenced with a spree of shopping for Khadi and linen fabrics, renowned specialties of Mount Abu. Satiated with our purchases, we indulged in a sumptuous Rajasthani thali at Jodhpur Bhojnalay before setting out for Ambaji and Gabbarji temples. A visit to the revered Shakti Peeths filled our hearts with a sense of reverence and tranquility. As we bid farewell to Mount Abu and boarded our train back to Mumbai, we carried with us cherished memories of our brief yet fulfilling escapade.

Conclusion:

Our escapade to Mount Abu offered respite from the sweltering heat of Mumbai and rejuvenated our spirits with its serene beauty and spiritual charm. Despite being an off-season, the hill station welcomed us with open arms, offering a delightful blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration.
